Gifts For The Future

Your support of Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital through the Moving Healthcare Forward Campaign confirms your wish for a brighter healthcare future in the Ohio Valley.

While helping with an ultra-worthy cause, donors to the Moving Healthcare Forward Campaign may realize substantial income and tax benefits, depending on the type of gift donated to the hospitals. Most donors will chose from four options of giving:

Matching Gifts
Leadership gifts may qualify for matching monies from a number of foundations throughout the region. For information on Matching Gifts contact the Office for The Moving Healthcare Forward Campaign at 304-234-8135.

Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash, long-term appreciated securities, real estate and tangible personal property are tax deductible at their full-market value. Gifts of highly appreciated property and securities offer especially attractive tax advantages to donors.

Life Income Gifts
Donors may also support The OVMC/EORH Moving Healthcare Forward Campaign by establishing life income gifts that will provide funds for years to come. These types of gifts offer the donor the satisfaction of making a gift to the hospitals while retaining the income from assets for their lifetimes or the lifetimes of their loved ones. Also, life income gifts offer tax advantage.

Bequests
The final distribution of assets often provides the best opportunity to fulfill a special interest in Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital. Gifts though wills build the endowment and ensure the donor’s intentions, contribution and name are preserved in perpetuity.
